Kanga (Sikh Comb)

This comb is a ‘Kanga’ (kang.guh), one of the Sikh’s five K’s. I designed this for my girlfriend when she started teaching me about Sikh traditions. I intend for this kanga to be used occasionally for ceremonial use, rather than everyday like typical kangas.

I want to use a nice hard wood like teak that I know is in abundance in my granddad’s woodpile. Teak combined with a clear oil would make this look beautiful, as well as strong and hard wearing.
